where to start?
let's start with nolan. he ended up risking his own company to provide aiden with evidence about david clarke's early involvement in nolan's company.
he asks his girlfriend, at the end, if she would love him if he had no money?
i forgot that jack proposed to faux amanda last week. for some 1 in love, he really doesn't trust her at all. hard to blame him since she's really emily and not the young girl he grew up with.
new to the show?
the graysons framed david clarke for terrorism. that put amanda clarke in foster care then in juvie. her father was killed in prison. amanda swore revenge. as an adult, she swapped identities with emily - her friend from juvie.
mason treadwill is a bad reporter who came across the truth about david being framed but took money from conrad and victoria grayson to bury it. he turned out a best seller claiming david was guilty.
he's figured out that amanda and emily were lovers!
or he thinks that and that emily's calling the shots now in the revenge scheme.
emily explains to him that she's amanda.
she also tells him he's going to help her. she gives him an ear piece and sends him off to her mother. she wants her mother (kara) out of the hamptons so that the graysons don't hurt her.
so emily's telling him what to say. but he leaves the script and starts telling kara that david was innocent and the graysons framed him. emily's furious because her mother's not taking her pills.
hearing the truth for the 1st time, kara is enraged and plans to kill victoria and conrad.
nolan calls and she tells him what's going on. he offers to help but she wants him to finish the assignment he's on.
we'll later learn it's leaving evidence at mason's to implicate him in the murder of the white-haired man. when mason arrives home, the police are there with everything they need.
conrad's out of jail (remember, he was arrested for the murder of the white-haired man last episode but the initiative got him out). he's holding a press conference. victoria isn't present. she's busy helping their son daniel try to take over the company. ashley knows about this but lies when conrad wants to know why victoria's not there. conrad doesn't like how the press conference is going.
victoria and conrad end up in her bedroom. and she might be telling him daniel's stolen the company except kara is there with a gun. she wants them to admit what they did to david and then she's going to kill them.
emily calls aidan. she notes that the cameras (security cameras) are out in victoria's bedroom so that must be where they are. aidan goes rushing over.
victoria's saying she loved david and kara doesn't believe her even with conrad vouching for her. victoria knows that the white haired man and kara were a couple. (i didn't know she knew.) she tells kara that he killed david. kara doesn't believe her until the photo charlotte had is brought up. the part with the white haired man is hidden in the lid of victoria's jewelry box. kara finds it and is stunned.
but still wants to kill them. she makes them get on their knees and put on blind folds. as she's about to shoot them, conrad reaches over and takes victoria's hand. as they clutch hands, aidan sneaks up behind kara and chloroforms her and whisks her off.
she awakes on the side of the road with emily and aidan.
they lie that aidan's f.b.i. (as he told kara a few episodes back) and that emily was there so she helped get kara out of there. they explain for her safety she has to leave and the empty car behind them has cash in it - enough for her to restart her life. so she's leaving. emily asks her if there's anything she wants to tell her daughter (remember, kara doesn't know emily is really amanda and therefore her daughter) and kara just says she wishes she'd been a better mother.
aidan's attracted to emily, as we know. we finally get that she may be attracted to him too.
okay, amanda wanted to kill mason. that's why emily showed up over there. and why she revealed who she was.
but now mason's in jail. what was the point there?
emily shows up at the police station interrogation room and tells mason he'll plead guilty. for killing and for brining down the plane victoria was supposed to be on (lydia died in the crash). but he's not a terrorist.
neither was emily's father.
and while he's in prison, he can work on a book about what really happened and when the time is right emily will come forward to confess and get mason's out of prison at which time he will have a huge best seller.
mason's too greedy and too much of a fame whore to say no and he agrees.
i think that covers it all.
it was a jam-packed episode.
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
