she explains that we read a book by this author on humphrey bogart and weren't able to blog about that because we rushed the book. this author includes way too much detail for you to absorb in a speed read. you need to read a few pages and process.
we've covered him before. (the author's a man. i don't think that's a secret we're keeping.) and we like his books. i think we've covered 2 of his books. maybe more than that.
on the petreaus scandal, reuters notes:
The scandal complicates President Barack Obama's efforts to reorganize his national security team following his re-election. The White House said it still had faith in Allen, but its plans to transfer him to Europe, where he would head U.S. and allied forces, have been suspended.
Obama also has to find a replacement for Petraeus at the CIA at a time when the president is vetting candidates to head the State and Defense departments.
do you get how bad the vetting process is at the white house?
have you forgotten all the problems with barack's 2009 nominees? the tax cheats and all the rest?
they just don't do any of the work required. there is no vetting. mainly because valerie jarrett gives thumbs up or down and that's all it takes. she's the henry kissinger of the administration is what a male friend (official) jokes.
it really goes to the fact that barack provides no leadership. he just takes up space. why the ass wanted a 2nd term - other than for the yearbook credit - is anyone's guess.
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
