The Obama administration is saying little about new claims that U.S. diplomats in Libya made repeated requests for more security before the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi that killed ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.
"I'm not going to get into a situation under review by the State Department and the FBI," said White House spokesman Jay Carney.
excuse me but the white house already denied those assertions and claims weeks ago.
they lied when they did but let's not pretend that they didn't issue a statement.
and let's not pretend that the white house is really being pressured right now.
when i turn on cnn and see the kind of real coverage this story demands - not a top of the hour shout out but segments every hour - i'll believe the press is doing their job.
they're not doing anything right now.
4 americans are dead in a terrorist attack and the white house tried to pass the attack off as a protest that got out of hand.
that was a huge lie and if they're willing to lie to the american people about that, what do they tell the truth about?
do you get that not only does the administration look like a pack of liars, they also look incredibly stupid?
this was so huge. it had to come out.
maybe they hoped it would come out after the election?
if so, it's true that supressing it could help them win the election but that still meant a day of reckoning would come. were they so arrogant that they thought it wouldn't matter? or that no 1 would dare question them?
i have no idea but they already look stupid and like liars. do they really want to add arrogant to it?
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
