that's Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "Campaigning" which i love.
no what else i love? jackie collins is blogging 'revenge' for 'parade magazine.' c.i. told me that but i honestly thought she was joking.
i love jackie, i love 'revenge,' it's win-win. go read her recap.
'revenge,' if you don't know, airs sunday nights on abc and streams online.
this was a really fast paced episode.
1st, nolan's 'girlfriend' and business partner? she's not to be trusted.
she went to grayson enterprises trying to find out dirt on the late david clarke. nolan found a file of his father's and asked her if she was snopping around and she denied it. but not only did she go but aidan was there when she was asking and he's already told emily.
emily is really amanda clarke, the daughter of david who was falsely framed for terrorism and killed in prison. she's returned to the hamptons to get her revenge on those who wronged her father.
he was killed by the white-haired man. aidan killed the white-haired man this season when the white-haired man was about to slash emily's throat.
cara clarke, amanda's mother, was in love with the white-haired man and i think she might have even married him.
cara (kara?) showed up at victoria's claiming to be glad victoria was alive. (the press has reported that the white-haired man kidnapped victoria. cara pretended to believe that story. in reality, victoria and the white-haired man were working together until she decided she couldn't trust him and framed him for her kidnapping.)
cara thinks her for taking care of amanda. (that's fake amanda. amanda and emily were friends in juvie. as young adults, they swapped identities.)
considering that amanda's now in the hospital (fell off the second floor landing while struggling with victoria), that line had additional meaning - 1) we know cara tried to kill amanda when she was a small child, 2) it made victoria uncomfortable.
cara keeps calling the white-haired man. she doesn't know he's dead. only emily and aidan do. aidan finds out that emily still has the man's phone. meanwhile, cara stays with the graysons and conrad finds her phone and shows victoria that cara is calling the white-haired man.
victoria's worried about what it all means and how much cara knows. this is befor emason treadwell re-emerges. mason, you may remember, was a reporter for 'the wall street journal' who was going to report the truth about david clarke being innocent. he confronted victoria on her affair with david and conrad threatened to sue while victoria realized they could buy off mason.
which they did and he buried the story and wrote a book saying david was guilty.
he popped up last season to do an update and emily burned down his home and his manuscript while stealing tapes of his interviews with her father. because victoria had the tapes, mason believed she broke in and burned down his home. so when victoria and conrad's son daniel ended up charged with the murder of tyler and mason showed up to blog at a site ashley created for him, he stabbed the graysons in the back. he's now a 'truth crusader' or fancies himself that.
he tells victoria that things aren't as they seem and that includes the phoney kidnap story she's telling.
but what he mainly means is what happened at the hospital. he went to check on amanda who was in the news due to her fall at the graysons.
there he discovered not just emily but also cara. cara refused to be interviewed by him or answer as to why she was 'dead' but is now alive?
he saw amanda moving around in her hospital gown and looked at her back.
he confronts her near the end of the episode. she's not amanda. amanda had a scar on her back. she says she had it removed. can you do that with scars? i didn't know. but mason doesn't believe her.
ashely did nothing, daniel did nothing.
conrad did propose to victoria. though it would be to protect them (from the syndicate behind the terrorist plot), he did seem into the idea. victoria continues to loathe him.
charlotte had 1 scene, nothing big.
declan? jack agreed to bring the man declan robbed in as a partner in exchange for the man not pressing charges.
emily told amanda that ehs lied, jack really was the father of her baby. she explained she felt as if she were losing her. amanda then said she understood and jack was her boyfriend until she showed up so she's sorry about that.
cara is nuts. and she makes up this happy times - with voice (jennifer jason leigh is an amazing acctress) - when she is alone with emily (who is really her daughter amanda).
cara has no idea that emily is amanda. but all she cares about is finding her white-haired man. what happens when she discovers he's dead?
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
