stephan dinan (washington times) reports:
Mitt Romney crossed a major threshold this week, moving above 50 percent in his favorability rating, according to the Real Clear Politics average of polls — and for the first time in the campaign he leads President Obama on that measure.
Now, with the presidential debates behind him, Mr. Romney has punctured Mr. Obama’s effort to make him unacceptable in the minds of voters, and they enter the final two-week stretch of the campaign having once again turned the election into a referendum on the president.
but he's dead in the water! that's what they told us this time last month. it was all over, they swore. especially after the democratic convention.
and yet he's now more likable.
barack shouldn't worry because barack's likable enough - that's what he said to hillary at that debate, right? 'you're likable enough.
'revenge'? the great madeleine stowe was on abc's 'the view.' 'wetpaint' has a write up and the video:
About two minutes into her interview, the 54-year-old effortlessly transitions from talking about Victoria Grayson to touching on her current contraception fight in Virginia.
“What I’m striking against is that women will not have access to normal means of contraception,” Madeleine said. “And that’s really, really terrible. It’s counterintuitive.”
We also love how informed she is on the topic of abortion. When Joy Behar tries to tell her that a certain law hasn’t passed, Madeleine politely informs her that it has passed and is currently in effect.
last night in 'revenge' i didn't talk about daniel and ashley! several e-mails pointed that out.
i wrote a ton last night. and i don't give a damn about daniel and ashley as i've made clear before.
so what happened? we already knew ashley was spying on daniel for his father conrad. we saw more of that. then daniel found out. he hasn't confronted her. she doesn't know he knows. nor does he know that she told conrad she was done spying on daniel.
that should cover it.
the 2 have no chemistry at all and while i can take faux amanda wanting emily's life, ashley was so much more interesting last season than she is now where she appears to just be an emily wanna be.
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
