so i say congrats to the house and senate veterans committees who've worked on this issue.
and i ask: where is the house citizens affairs committee?
where is the senate citizens affairs committee?
why is that the senate veterans affairs committee can repeatedly talk about, for example, the homeless and say it's unacceptable for any veteran to be homeless when they should be saying it's unacceptable for any american to be homeless?
i'm really getting tired of this idea that veterans are super humans.
i'm sorry for any 1 sent to an illegal war or even a real war. i think war is stupid and part of our baser instincts. but i believe the governments owes its citizens a great deal and i'm not sure how the congress got the idea that they could work on issues effecting approximately 1% of the population (veterans) and not work to improve the quality of life for all americans.
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
