'community' returned to the nbc line up last night and instantly reminded 1 and all that its absence had been no great loss.
pierce offered to fund shirley's dream but - typical shirley - she wanted to get married again instead.
it took others doing the wedding planning to get shirley to get off her ass.
but not before we got sanctimonious b.s. from shirley.
on 'i hate my teenage daughter,' annie is a christian and makes many jokes. they don't come off stuck-up or cruel. it's a shame the same could not be said of shirley's attempts at 'humor.'
i think the show would be much better if they killed off shirley and their awful annie.
annie is so irritating. even her voice irritates.
and the pretense that this show is funny gets harder and harder to argue.
you'd think they'd show up - after their long absence - with a hilarious episode.
instead, this was probably the weakest of the season (and, i'd argue, worse than anything from last season).
in the end, 'community' may not be killed by others, it may just take its own life.
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
