look who they're going after now
so we're watching killers tonight. it's an ashton movie and he's usually pretty good even in a bad movie. so my big surprise was how good kathrine heigl was.
she was really good with gerad butler - they had a nice chemistry in that movie whose name i forget.
but i was reading this scathing attack on her at movieline a couple of weeks ago and i thought, 'well she must be awful in films these days if this is accurate.'
so i was really glad to see her in this film being so great.
i think there's a real urge to tear down women.
i remember in 2000, c.i. telling me they were about to really start in on meg ryan.
i thought she was nuts.
but then for 3 years straight it was 1 effort to trash meg after another.
c.i. had said it was coming and she'd said it was going to be worse than what was done to goldie hawn.
and she was right.
if a woman achieves a level of success, they go after her.
angelina jolie is very smart because she's ensured so far that it doesn't happen to her.
but most women don't have that choice.
by being a woman, that's really all it takes.
(angelina's played the sexy card and the tough card which have allowed her to bypass some of the carping.)
so now it's time to trash kathrine.
maybe enough people can stick up for her that they won't be able to do to her what they've done to other women before?
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
