from last night, Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "Barack Addresses Netroots Nation" and if we'd elected hillary president, i seriously doubt she'd be telling us it was our fault that she didn't do what she promised to do when campaigning.
having said that, i'm now about to blame us.
we defeat ourselves. every day. this is an e-mail i got.
what's up doc is hilarious.
it's a great film.
and we made the blu ray switch long, long ago.
so my reaction to the above was, YES!!!!!!
i love barbra. i love what's up doc. so what's not to love?
look, i have money to burn. even in good times, a lot of people aren't so lucky.
and i started thinking - after being excited about the prospect that a barbra blu ray set might come out (i have the standard dvd 1) - how people were getting left behind yet again.
do we really need blu ray?
not at all.
what's next? a technology that allows us to enter the movie?
we're watching a movie.
this idea that we need a blu ray is just silly.
there are people still making do with videocassettes, forget about the standard dvd.
it's just another way to take our money and it happens over and over because we never say 'no.'
take the barbra release.
i'll be honest, i'm getting it as soon as it comes out.
even realizing that blu ray is not needed and draws a wall between us.
and i'm defeating us.
and that's what always does: our want.
but our want.
we must have.
greed, for a lot of us, implies stockpiles.
so that's why i'm using 'want.'
and, again, i'm finger pointing at myself. i want that blu ray of what's up doc.
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
