well i, for 1, do not think that's a good thing. sorry.
take the comic strip garfield. i used to love that. and then it finally got its own prime time cartoon special. and i couldn't wait for it. i think cbs aired it 1st on a monday night.
and i watched and thought ...
happened to garfield's voice?
i could never read the comic again.
so i'm just not thrilled that the heroine of so many books is now being movie-ized. i do not see any good coming from this.
it'll be like that awful fat albert movie that pretty much killed the joy of hey-hey-hey.
and that ramona would be heading to hollywood?
it sounds like a piece of crap for the disney channel.
a tweeners delight but a slap in the face to the audience.
if you loved the books and see the movie, e-mail me.
i'd love to be wrong about it.
but i won't see it unless it has a groundswell behind it. i read those books to my nieces many years ago and would end up continuing to read after they'd fallen to sleep. i love ramona. (i also love super fudge.)
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
