joaquin isn't thrilled that the movie's coming out.
river didn't ask joaquin's permission when he was alive, why would he need it now?
whether he's jealous or not, joaquin comes off jealous of his dead brother.
and river was supremely gifted in ways that joaquin is not. joaquin is talented and may end up talented like marlon brando. but river had a natural relationship with the camera that joaquin doesn't have.
it should be an interesting movie.
judy davis is in the cast and she was a real bitch to river. it'll be interesting to see if she offers a public comment or not. it was not a 'fun' shoot. that may have been why river o.d.-ed. he might have been really hitting the drugs because of how awful the shoot was.
i'm not blaming judy davis for his drug use by the way. judy's a bitch on most film sets. people don't like working with her.
she's incredible on the screen but she doesn't work that much because people just do not enjoy working with her.
whether 'dark blood' is good or not, it has to be released because river's fans want it. even now, he has a legion of fans.
i think his best performance was 'thing called love.' i think he was good in every thing he ever made but he had achieved a maturity in that film that really indicated he was going to be a huge adult star.
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
