above is Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "Vouchers" from last night.
and that's funny.
remaking 'carrie'? that's just sick.
we already had 1 remake in 2002.
most people don't even remember it.
for good reason.
now cbs reports that chloe grace moretz and julianne moore are starring.
here's some reality for the idiots.
few people will ever top brian de palma when it comes to shocking an audience and pulling it in.
2nd, no 1 will ever top sissy spacek as carrie white. sissy spacek was amazing. this chloe grace moretz will probably get initially good reviews but in a few years, the consensus will be 'why did she bother?' like the joy that greet the 'haloween: h20' which was slowly replaced with, 'it's not that good of a film.'
if you're not getting it, sissy spacek was nominated for an oscar - for this film!
for a horror film.
an oscar for best actress. do people realize how rare that is?
it's unheard of. she would later win the oscar for 'coal miner's daughter.' but just being nominated for this film was a major accomplishment and it goes to how amazing she was in the role.
piper laurie did a nice job as carrie white's mother. the fact that julianne moore's playing the part says to me that moore's career really is over.
julianne is 51. piper laure was 44-years-old when she played the part. oh, poor, julianne.
'carrie' is a classic and it's a classic because de palma had a vision and because he took so much care with the cast. every 1 gave a great performance. amy irving is so great she's almost the lead. and can any 1 ever match nancy allen and john travolta's charm and cunning?
i don't know why people want to f**k with this film.
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
