'community' is back on nbc thursday nights. for how long is anybody's guess.
last night was the best episode of the show since it came back from hiatus.
that was due to brita really. it was an episode where she got something to do. this subway was opened up on campus and shirley had wanted to do a sandwich shop so she wanted subway closed down. meanwhile there's a student with the corporate brand, he's named subway. and pierce and shirley encourage brita to go after him and get him fired as the brand guy so that the subway will have to close (apparently it has to have a student owner).
jeff and annie whined in their boring story. the show would be so much better without them.
avid and troy had problems. avid was building his pillow fort and troy was building a blanket fort and then troy has a shot at a world record if avid will take down his pillow fort so troy can expand his fort.
avid agreed to but then john goodman showed up and urged him not to. that story continue next week.
brita loved subway, he cared about animals like she did. pierce gave her a wire to leave on him but she told him she couldn't (and didn't know pierce was picking it up and he and shirley were listening). subway and brita have sex repeatedly.
pierce goes to the subway corp to get subway fired. he, shirley, the dean, subway corporate office, subway and brita get called together. corporate's listening to the sex tape and says he's not going to fire subway for that.
which is good because he only has to do it 3 more years to get everything he wants - including the animal shelter.
but then brita and subway do (on the tape) something 'deviant' and so subway gets fired.
he leaves. brita swears this isn't the end. she sees subway down the hall and runs to him.
it's not the guy she slept with. the corporation's replaced him with another guy using the name subway. but this subway 2 pretends like he is the 1st subway and that he had sex with brita.
pierce, brita, shirley, avid and troy were very funny. and the brita episodes are usually good 1s. but this is probably the best of the season and not just the best since the end of the hiatus.
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
