i applaud senators scott borwn (1 of my senators), susan collins, joe lieberman and tom carper for their efforts to keep the post office running 6 days a week. (their legislation would insist on no changes there for at least 2 years.) i'm glad to know they appreciate the need.
but i am bothered by the 100,000 jobs they want to cut/gut.
in this economy, can we really afford for the government to cut 100,000 jobs?
there are no new jobs. unemployment is sky high. the white house didn't give a damn about that and decided to focus on obamacare and travel plans and vacations and then, at the end of the day, no time for addressing jobs.
jobs should have been his 1st priority from day 1.
he's not just an ass, barack's a dumb ass.
and it'll be up to the next president to fix the economy. it appears the message of the last years has been that barack's not up to the job.
so that's 100,000 people who will join the already unemployed.
i personally think government needs to work harder creating jobs, not focusing on how to cut them.
let's close with c.i.'s 'Iraq snapshot:'
