a number of e-mails came in about 2 & 1/2 men and charlie sheen.
that puzzled me until a few of you mentioned my p.r. background. then it made sense.
i don't know charlie sheen (i've met martin and emilio).
so what i'm writing is an educated guess.
charlie sheen is looking at a $25 to 45 million pay day when he and chuck lorre settle their differences and lorre buys him out.
so that could be influencing charlie's sudden upbeat persona.
it may not be.
but in terms of his remarks about ashton, you are all missing the point.
ashton's not a threat to charlie and, more importantly, he couldn't get away with trashing ashton if he wanted to.
he might get away with it in the public. that's not what i'm talking about.
i'm talking about ashton being married to demi. demi moore was once engaged to charlie's brother emilio and she and emilio remain good friends.
therefore it would be really bad form for charlie to attack ashton.
my guess is charlie means everything he's saying.
but i also will argue he would not attack ashton regardless.
demi and emilio were very serious about each other and the sheens/estavezs thought of her, during that time, as family. when the break up came, emilio and demi maintained a strong friendship and respect. charlie knows that and he's not going to cause harm to either of them by attacking demi's husband.
